Five-day NCERT Translation Workshop Concludes in New Delhi
CIET-NCERT, AICTE & Anuvadini Foundation held a 5-day workshop on translating NCERT textbooks into Punjabi & Hindi, aligned with NEP 2020 goals.

A five-day workshop on the Translation of NCERT Textbooks and Special Modules was successfully organized by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET-NCERT) in collaboration with Anuvadini Foundation and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) from September 15–19, 2025, at AICTE Headquarters, New Delhi.
The workshop focused on vetting the manually translated “Our Wondrous World” (Class 4) into Punjabi and translating and vetting “Operation Sindoor” into Hindi, along with their InDesign formatting.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ravindra Kumar, In-charge, Translation Cell, CIET-NCERT, emphasized the importance of translating NCERT textbooks and Special Modules into 22 scheduled Indian languages in line with the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Frameworks (NCFs). He highlighted how this initiative will ensure equitable access to quality learning resources for students across the country.
Dr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, CEO, Anuvadini Foundation, shared valuable insights into technology-driven translation processes and their role in scaling multilingual educational content for learners nationwide.
The workshop concluded with the successful review and vetting of key textbooks and modules, marking another step toward achieving the goal of inclusive and multilingual education. CIET-NCERT extended heartfelt gratitude to all participating language experts, subject specialists, and contributors for their dedicated efforts in making the workshop a success.
